I became unable to work in March 2003 when I had to have a laminectomy done because the bones and discs had started cutting into my spinal cord.  I had worked for years with pain but my pc doctor said it was arthritis. She did not think I needed to see a specialist and gave me plenty of pain pills, which continued not to help and made my sleep apnea worse at work.  Finally in April 2003, I became completely numd and could not walk.  I was rushed into surgery, but because the pressure had been on my spine for so long, I am still numb, I have constant and chronic pain, and it is permanent.  I have been waiting on an approval from social security since August 2003.  My family has been helping me but they have their own.  I've had to go bankrupt to try to save my home.  I don't know what to do.  I suffer from spinal stenosis with nerve root damage and spinal degeneration.  I cannot keep a job because I cannot sit, stand, or walk for very long and have to use a quad cane.  I need help.  Thank you
